Jules is a veteran art director, surface pattern designer, illustrator, and shameless consumer. With a focus on branding, licensing and consumer products (think style guides and repeat patterns), her avid trend watching and love of pattern and product led to the founding of Brand Bird in 2005. She is inspired by the fashion world (her happy place) and believes that being well traveled and culturally current is paramount in any creative field.

Previously Jules held the position of Art Director in consumer products at Cartoon Network where she oversaw the creation of style guides, packaging, retail support, and collateral. There she worked with licensees on trend presentations, product development and brand assurance. She has also worked in the entertainment field creating graphics and packaging for film and television props.

Before moving to Atlanta in 2002, Jules spent 7 years in Los Angeles working with Melanie Paykos and Buz Design among others on behalf of clients such as NBC, Paramount, Dreamworks, HBO, Scholastic, Mattel, Discovery Kids, Nissan, University of Southern California and Pasadena Tournament of Roses.

Jules holds a degree in Graphic Design from Indiana University and Fashion Illustration from the Art Institute of Atlanta.
